FEMTRACK
Femtrack is a pest management product designed to control and monitor moth populations in agricultural settings. This system is particularly effective against various moth species, including Duponchelia, Helicoverpa, and Spodoptera.
Components
FEMTRACK Lure releases specific scents to attract moths. The lure is designed to work for up to 20 weeks after activation.
A triangular-shaped trap that holds the lure and sticky paper.
Placed inside the delta trap, this adhesive surface captures the moths once they are lured in.
How It Works
The FEMTRACK lure releases pheromones that attract both male and female moths.
Once moths are attracted to the lure, they get trapped on the sticky paper, effectively reducing the moth population in the targeted area.
FEMTRACK does not attract additional moths from outside the immediate area, unlike light traps, which help manage the existing pest population more effectively.
Usage
The recommended deployment is five traps per hectare for monitoring and twenty traps per hectare for effective population reduction.
Suitable for use in both greenhouses and open fields.
The lure should be replaced every 20 weeks, while the sticky paper should be replaced as it becomes saturated with moths. The delta trap itself is durable for multiple seasons under normal conditions.
Storage
The lure should be stored in its original, tightly closed packaging.
Optimal storage conditions include a constant temperature below 4°C, where the lure remains effective for up to two years. At room temperature, the shelf life is approximately six months.
Benefits
FEMTRACK helps in pest control without leaving chemical residues, making it safe for crops.
It supports integrated pest management (IPM) strategies by providing data on pest dynamics and helping reduce pest populations without the use of harmful chemicals.
