SOUVENIR® 800 WDG functions as a versatile fungicide/miticide, effectively tackling a range of issues such as powdery mildew and spider mites on roses, rust, angular leaf spot, and anthracnose on French beans, as well as downy mildew, powdery mildew, and anthracnose on capsicum. It also addresses early and late blight, along with spider mites on tomatoes, powdery mildew, purple blotch, and rust on onions, and powdery mildew on snow peas.
Its mode of action involves sulphur, an inorganic compound that acts on multiple sites. This compound offers both contact and vapor action, providing protective properties by inhibiting respiration.
To manage resistance effectively, it’s recommended to alternate the use of SOUVENIR® 800 WDG with other fungicides/miticides that operate through different mechanisms.
For application, the rates vary depending on the crop and target issue. For instance, for roses dealing with powdery mildew and spider mites, the recommended rate is 2 kg/ha in 1000 L of water (2 g per litre of water), while for snow peas affected by powdery mildew, it’s advised to use 3 kg/ha in 1000 L of water (3 g per litre of water).
The pre-harvest interval (PHI) for all edible crops is 1 day. It’s best to apply SOUVENIR® 800 WDG when signs of diseases or pests first appear or when weather conditions are conducive to their development.
Preparing the spray mixture involves filling the tank halfway with the required amount of water, adding the necessary quantity of SOUVENIR® 800 WDG, and then filling up to the required level while agitating to ensure thorough mixing.
Application should be done via foliar spraying using 1000 litres of water per hectare, ensuring adequate coverage of crop foliage. It’s recommended to repeat the application at least three times per season with intervals of 7-14 days.
During the restricted entry interval of 12 hours, it’s crucial to avoid entering treated areas until the spray deposits have dried up. If entry is necessary, wearing protective clothing is advised.
The active ingredient in SOUVENIR® 800 WDG is sulfur at a concentration of 800 g/kg, with recommended rates ranging from 2-3 kg per hectare or 2-3 g per litre, depending on the crop and pest/disease issue at hand.
