Zantara® EC 216 is a highly effective fungicide designed to protect cereal crops against a wide range of fungal diseases. Developed by Bayer Crop Science, Zantara® EC 216 combines two powerful active ingredients, bixafen and tebuconazole, offering both preventative and curative properties. This dual-action formulation ensures robust protection against diseases such as Septoria leaf blotch, rusts, and powdery mildew, thereby helping farmers secure higher yields and better-quality grain.

Application

Wheat

• Target diseases: Septoria leaf blotch, yellow rust, brown rust, and powdery mildew.
• Typical rate: 1.0 to 1.2 liters per hectare.
• Optimal timing: Apply at the first sign of disease or as a preventative measure from the start of stem elongation (GS 31) to flag leaf emergence (GS 39).

Barley

• Target diseases: Brown rust, net blotch, and powdery mildew.
• Typical rate: 1.0 to 1.2 liters per hectare.
• Optimal timing: Apply at the first sign of disease or as a preventative measure from the start of stem elongation (GS 31) to flag leaf emergence (GS 39).

Rye and Oats

• Target diseases: Rusts and powdery mildew.
• Typical rate: 1.0 to 1.2 liters per hectare.
• Optimal timing: Apply at the first sign of disease or as a preventative measure from the start of stem elongation (GS 31) to flag leaf emergence (GS 39).

Mixing and Application Instructions

• Fill the spray tank with half the required amount of water.
• Add the recommended amount of Zantara® EC 216 and mix thoroughly.
• Add the remaining water while maintaining constant agitation.
• Apply the mixture evenly over the crop canopy using appropriate spraying equipment.
• Ensure thorough coverage for optimal disease control.

Precautions

• Do not apply during periods of high temperature or when plants are under stress.
• Avoid application in windy conditions to minimize drift.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and frost.
