Application
- Sow seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost date. Transplant seedlings outdoors after hardening off, spacing them 12-18 inches apart in well-drained soil with a pH of 6.0 to 7.0.
- Keep soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged, to support healthy growth.
- Apply a balanced fertilizer at planting and again midway through the growing season to ensure vigorous growth.
- Harvest when heads are firm and have reached the desired size, typically 70-90 days after transplanting. Cut the heads off at ground level with a sharp knife.
