Nyati F1

Application and Storage
- Start seeds in a nursery or seedling trays. Sow seeds 2-3 cm deep in well-draining soil.
- Transplant seedlings to the field when they have 2-3 true leaves, spacing them 1.5-2 meters apart in rows 2-3 meters apart.
- Provide ample space for vines to spread. Use mulch to retain soil moisture and control weeds. Water regularly, especially during fruit development.
- Apply balanced fertilizers and organic matter before planting. Monitor plant growth and adjust fertilization as needed.
- Monitor regularly for pests and diseases, such as aphids and powdery mildew. Implement integrated pest management practices, including biological controls and selective chemical applications if necessary.
- Harvest watermelons when they develop a uniform shape and have a hollow sound when tapped. Cut fruit from the vine carefully to avoid damage.
- Store harvested watermelons in a cool, dry place with good ventilation. Keep them off the ground to prevent rotting. Watermelons can be stored for up to two weeks under optimal conditions.
